What is a Doula at Mountain Birth Stories?

A doula is a caring, knowledgeable, and experienced support person who educates the birthing mother and her support person on what to expect through pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. I will help you with coping strategies, positioning, postpartum planning, and support during the postpartum period. I will walk alongside you and your support person from the moment you hire me till 6 weeks postpartum and beyond if you wish!

  • Benee would be your doula. I have years of experience in the birth space, but new to the support role. You can read more about me in the “About Me” tab

  • I will provide you with 2 prenatal meetings, extensive birth support, and postpartum support.

  • You can hire a doula as early as you want! I suggest you interview doulas to pick a doula that’s right for you, and then pick one by 28-30 weeks of gestation to have enough time for prenatal meetings.
